A versatile vegetable - young courgettes can be eaten raw, either shaved into ribbons or finely sliced into a salad – they're delicious dressed simply with chilli, chopped mint, lemon and extra virgin olive oil. You can sauté, roast, grill or barbecue courgettes, or add them to cakes for a sweet treat.

The white flesh is nutty, sweet and crunchy like chestnuts when raw. Baked in their skins, they become more like potatoes

We grow purple and green peas. They have a fresh, sweet pea flavour. Top and tail if you like. Eat them raw in salads or use in stir fry.

This is an attractive and slightly milder alternative to the yellow onions. They can be used raw in salads or work well in savoury tarts. A good all purpose onion for cooking.
