About Us

We are Helen and Martin Arnold, and we run Holly Farm. Neither are us are from a farming background — Helen spent almost 20 years as a primary school teacher, while Martin ran his own furniture business before moving into property renovation. In January 2020 we decided to leave suburban Leicester and start a new life in rural Devon. We saw Holly Farm just as the country went into lockdown, but in August 2020 we made the leap.

We are ably assisted by our two sons, Alex and Joel. Alex works for a consultancy company in Bristol and Joel works for the Met Office in Exeter. So far they both seem to be willing to spend their weekends and holidays helping with whatever needs doing on the farm. Also lending a hand are Sue and Trevor Pickford.
