Holly Farm Camping —
Your perfect base for exploring Devon, Somerset, and Dorset

We’re delighted to introduce Holly Farm Camping — a small-scale, family orientated, campsite on our smallholding in East Devon.

Just minutes away from the borders of Dorset and Somerset and nestling within the Blackdown Hills AONB, we are ideally located to explore Lyme Regis and the Jurassic Coast with its spectacular beaches, seaside towns and wonderful countryside.

The Farm is just a 5 minute drive from Axminster and so has easy access from the M5, A35 and A303. The railway station in Axminster has a direct service to Exeter St. David’s and London Waterloo.

There is easy access to our farm from the small market town of Axminster which is ideal for stocking up on those essential holiday provisions.

Our Site

The Holly Farm campsite is situated on our 9 acre smallholding where we are grow a selection of vegetables and fruit. We also have chickens, quail, rare breed pigs and bees.

The camping field is gently sloping and has views over the Axe Valley, towards the picturesque village of Hawkchurch and the Iron-age hill fort of Pilsdon Pen some 10 km away.

We have been working with the Blackdown Hills AONB to improve the landscape and the biodiversity on our smallholding — we’ve recently planted over 400 native trees and countless wildflowers to improve the habitat for the badgers, deer, foxes, rabbits, woodpeckers, owls, buzzards and countless other bird species that live in and around the site.

We want to give you the opportunity to unwind and relax; the camping field is a car-free zone and pitches are set apart to ensure peace and quiet. The site is low key, low impact, environmentally friendly and child friendly. You can bring your dog and cook on an open fire if you wish. We provide composting toilets, hot water showers and washing facilities for the use of our guests. All that we ask that you respect our ethos, our home and your fellow guests.

I am sorry but we do not accept touring caravans, motorhomes, or trailer tents due to restricted vehicular access to the field.

A separate car park is available in an adjacent paddock, just a short walk from your tent. We provide wheelbarrows to help you move your gear to your pitch, and we’ll be about if you need an extra pair of hands.

Our home grown veg, honey and eggs, and local charcoal and logs are available to purchase from the farm.
