Had a wander round the pumpkin field this morning and found these whoppers!!
So it turns out we can grow Pradon peppers - loads of them!
We are really pleased with our greenhouse produce this year. We have 3 varieties of cherry tomatoes which look and taste great and some huge beefmaster tomatoes. We were not sure if we would be able to grow Padron peppers but they definitely like the hot weather we have had recently. Oh and the cucumbers are climbing over the roof!
Well these little beauties were a bit of a surprise. Hope they keep this amazing colour as they grow and ripen.
The tomatoes are looking good. They are beginning to show some fruit so it's looking promising for a good crop.
We are growing Padron peppers for the first time. Hoping that we get enough sunlight hours for the peppers to ripen.
The arrival of our three new Oxford sandy and Black pigs. Hope they like their new home!!
After much debate we have decided to extend our livestock this year. We are going to add to our little flock of hens and we are expecting 3 Oxford Sandy and Black pigs around Easter. We now have a pig ark and some useful advice from Porky Blinders and Plum Pudding Pigs.
The workshop is looking so much better now. We have used cedar cladding which has a natural durability without treatment. Martin and Joel have done a great job. It's good to get it finished. Just need to find some lights which will cast light downwards to light the entrance without causing light pollution.
Final stages of the workshop and greenhouse build. The cladding has arrived.
Now our fruit trees have arrived we can finally start planting the orchard.
Exciting day today. The bees have arrived. Thank you Morgan Shore for managing the hives. Looking forward to being able to add honey as an option in our veg boxes.
